Meet Auto-Match: Tweener Finds Your Next Hitting Partner

Finding people to play with shouldn’t be the hardest part of your week. We’ve all been there: the group chat goes quiet, your usual partner is traveling, and the court you booked is looking awfully empty. Meanwhile, just a few miles away, another player of your exact skill level is facing the same frustration.

Auto-Match exists to introduce the two of you.

Tell Tweener when you’re free and how far you’re willing to travel, and we’ll quietly scan for compatible players nearby — same sport, similar level, overlapping schedules — and bring them straight to your home screen.

How It Works: Set It Once, Let It Run

Getting started takes about a minute. From the home screen, find the Available Partners section and tap Set availability:

1. Pick your spot: Search for where you usually play, or just use your current location. Then set your search radius on the map — up to 25 miles.
2. Mark your week: Tap the times you can play — morning, afternoon, or evening, for every day of the week. We’ll only suggest players whose schedules actually overlap with yours.

Each sport gets its own preferences, so your weekday-evening tennis routine and your weekend padel sessions can live separate lives.

📌 A Note on Privacy: Auto-Match is 100% opt-in — you only appear as a suggestion to others after you set up your own availability, and you can pause it anytime without losing your settings. Prefer a smaller circle? Switch the scope from Anyone to People I follow and Tweener will only pair you within your own network.

From Suggestion to Court Time

Once you’re set up, compatible players start appearing in the Available Partners section of your home screen, each one showing their rating, how far away they are, and the next time slot you both have free.

From there, getting on court is a couple of taps: check out their profile, send a message, or go straight for it and invite them to play. You can also peek at all the time slots you share before proposing a day.

And you don’t even need to open the app to know someone new is out there. When Auto-Match finds new partners for you, you’ll get a push notification, an in-app message, and — if you like — an email. No spam, no repeats: we only tell you about new people, at most once a week per match.

Every player on Tweener has a verified rating built from real matches, so when Auto-Match says someone is at your level, it’s not a guess — it’s data. The partner you’ve been looking for might have been three courts away this whole time.
